Seniors need to know that people in our community care about their happiness, dignity and well-being. That is why we created Community Projects for Seniors.

Mission

To enrich the lives of low income senior citizens who reside in subsidized housing.

We work to improve the quality of the everyday lives of seniors by:
  • Serving and delivering hot wholesome meals
  • Providing joy through a variety of fun activities
  • Creating opportunities to make new friends
  • Encouraging social interaction in a safe environment with other seniors
  • Delivering and distributing useful products

Many seniors are affected by physical and mental health issues as well as by limited resources and income.

Community Projects for Seniors provides critical services for elderly individuals without a family support system, and mobility-challenged individuals over the age of fifty.

    We design programs to reduce:
  • Stress
  • Loneliness
  • Depression

Seniors need to know that people in our community care about their:
  • Happiness
  • Dignity
  • Well-being

Community Projects strives to influence seniors':
  • Attitudes
  • Feelings
  • Self-esteem

Community Projects volunteers deliver more than 4,000 free hot meals on each of these holidays:
  • Easter Sunday
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

  •            History

Since 1986, Community Projects for Seniors has provided meals and programs for elderly individuals without a family support system and mobility-challenged individuals over the age of 50 to improve the quality of their everyday lives.

We began by serving 100 meals on Christmas Day in 1986 and have grown to serve more than 12,000 free, hot holiday meals each year at 185 subsidized low income housing facilities in 7 southeastern Wisconsin counties. Contributions from individuals, foundations and the business community help us continue to enrich the lives of thousands of seniors each year throughout the Greater Milwaukee region.

Community Projects for Seniors was founded and incorporated in 1986 in Wisconsin as a 501 (c)(3) Tax Exempt non-profit charitable organization.
