PEOPLE BEHIND THE MISSION
STAFF

Community Projects for Seniors programs are guided by a committed board of directors and caring, experienced staff.

Jeffery P. Hansen, Founder & Executive Director

Prior to starting Community Projects in 1986, Jeff Hansen worked at the Falk Corporation and Maynard Steel. As a youngster, Jeff had a great relationship with his grandfather, and grew to know that senior citizens with no family support systems (and little income) were lonely and often depressed. His experiences with his loving grandfather provided the motivation needed to start an organization that would serve meals and create events for seniors without families. Jeff remains committed to fostering partnerships with the Greater Milwaukee community that will continue to deliver needed services to seniors.

Colleen West, Operations Manager

Prior to serving as Operations Manager for Community Projects, Colleen West was a customer service representative for TechStone in Minnesota and EconoPrint in Milwaukee. Colleen's search for meaningful work that would serve others directed her to Community Projects where she has become a visionary in organizing a structured, successful meal delivery and event program serving thousands of deserving seniors.

Christina Ahedo, Office Manager

Christina Ahedo attended nursing school at Cardinal Stritch until her studies were interrupted by the birth of three wonderful children. Her work with SouthPointe Health Care Center as a medical data system coordinator and work with FYI Medical Record Copying Service, traveling to clinics and hospitals to copy confidential medical records, prepared her for the fulfilling position she now holds with Community Projects. Christina's dedication makes events and meal delivery possible for the hundreds of volunteers that assist Community Projects for Seniors.
